Hi all!

I am Maori and of Swiss decent, born and raised in New Zealand. The past few years of my life have been a hectic whirlwind of chasing different projects with uncertainty. I spent a year in Argentina on exchange, then a year in film school, 6 months in the NZ film industry, and then 1.5 years studying law and sociology at the University of Auckland. I am restless, spontaneous, and often annoyingly lose drive and interest in different things I attempt to pursue.

I do have some core components to myself that remain; I love to sing, make music, dance, laugh, talk politics (sociology has made me very left wing), and learn new languages. I'd say I am very frustrated with the social and economic arrangements of the world.

In 2018 I am planning to move to Zurich, Switzerland to study electronic music production and spend time with my family meeting them and learning about my Swiss heritage. I would love to meet and talk with new Swissys, proceeding my arrival!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to meet new people who are keen to exchange dialogue in whatsapp about day to day life, ponderings, frustrations - basically develop foreign friendships and solidify some cool places over the world to stay in :)

Interests

I am hoping to actually find out my interests in the next 6 months. Believe it or not, it is alienating and just plain sucks to feel like you don't really get excited by and enjoy doing stuff anymore. I'm at that stage! I really want to find things that push me, takes me out of my comfort zone, something I can hopefully stick at or get some genuine gain from.

Some 'obscure' thing or interest about me, I guess, would be that I like to dress as a clown whether it be clothing or makeup, for no particular reason other than exploring new personas and loving the aesthetic.
