About Me
It's so hard to describe yourself in these bios without sounding like a perfect idiot, lol.
So, yes, my name is Ariel, like the little mermaid - there’s my top-notch icebreaker for you. 😜 (Did I just ace sounding like a perfect muppet with my opener? Probably)
Anyway, I'm easygoing person, love a good laugh, and always up for fun. I'm looking to meet people who are as cool as me, to share laughs, grab a drink, or check out the city wherever I am when you're reading this.
And, just to be clear, because it seems we need to say it these days: Couchsurfing isn't for dating! and also sorry, but showing up without clothes isn't my thing.
Check out my recent book 📚

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’m here because my GPS got broken, seeking the meaning of life among strangers' couches and locals' advice. I just hope I don’t end up being adopted by a family of stray cats in the process.
I've been traveling around the world for almost 10 years now. Sure, I stop sometimes, but I'm usually just wandering and enjoying being a bit lost.
Interests
Walking tours: I'm an expert in pretending to understand every historical fact while actually thinking about where to eat next.
Never a no to coffees, beers, wine, vodka, petrol.
Hiking time to time.
I love spending hours in museums, mostly because I can't find the exit but also because they always have aircon on.
Language exchanges 😍

Music, Movies, and Books
My favorite movie is "The secret life of Walter Mitty". "Le Chevalier à l'armure rouillée" my favourite book.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Vietnam by Motorbike: On an old Honda Wave 110cc. Almost 1000km, and a few stories.
Solo Latin American Trip.
Kidnapped in Bolivia: Participated in an unplanned cultural exchange program.
Got lost in a magic Place “La Isla del Sol” and I met a furry friend, who turned out to be more of an ancestral spirit, or a mystical alpaca, I still don’t know…
Lived the quiet life in a small village in Italy, mastering the art of speaking with my hands.
Hitchhiking in New Zealand: Expected a sequel to my Bolivian adventure with two All Blacks lookalikes. Ended up in a rugby scrum of kindness instead.
Polish Drinking Fiasco: Tried to outdrink Poland. Poland won. Received a fine as a souvenir. Kurwa.
I wrote my book of travel anecdotes: www.mybook.to/ArielMarti
Teach, Learn, Share
I can share my time 😌
Teach you some of my knowledge about the diversity of Spanish and teach you some Lunfardo.
What I Can Share with Hosts
People often say I'm the nicest guy they've met - you can judge for yourself, but just a heads up, I come with an infectious smile😄 Couchsurfing to me isn't about saving a few $$$; it's about diving into the real vibe of a place, it's about traveling with people and through people, and well, find drink partners around the globe, that as well heheh.
Salut!
