About Me

My name is Ariena, but I go by Ana. I'm 31, I'm a student at the Escoffier School for Culinary Arts. I'm learning French because it makes me feel closer to my heritage, and I love drawing new clothing designs. I'm a Columbus, Ohio native, home of the Buckeyes, and even though I'm not a football fan, you always get roped into tailgating. I'm pretty tall at 5'8", I'm an African American woman, I like to box and kickbox, and I like long visits in the museum. I am moving to San Jose because I got a job at Google in Mountain View.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I recently moved to San Jose to pursue my dream of creating a bakery boutique and acquiring a skill set to make awesome desserts. I currently work as a Sous Chef at Google. I need a place to stay while I look for an apartment and get some furniture.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love listening to Evanescence, Panic! At the Disco, Halestorm, and other rock bans. My favorite movies include the Saw series, the Conjuring Universe, It, and Prison Song. I usually read things like Stephen King, R.L. Stine, and other horror classics. I just love horror.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I’m starting my own business. It's a bakeri boutique that I call Oneirium (Oh-Nye-Re-Um). A bakerie boutique as I’m marketing it, is a place where people can shop for clothes I design and baked goods I create. Sometimes I’ll even make a design to match a baked good. I'm proud of it, even though I just got started with it. I'm currently developing my first collection and recipes called Forgotten Wonderland.

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to learn about the cool places and past times of the San Jose, California. I want to share how I see the world with people. Everything to me is a work of art. And I want to teach people o see how beautiful everything is.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share how to draw and create things. I can also show them how to cook certain French dishes and make dinner. I can also share my time and ideas. I enjoy have fun with new people too.
