About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I am trying to make the world to be a better place :)
ABOUT ME
I traveled half the globe from Indonesia to USA to pursue my master degree. Then, I interned at the Millennium Villages Project in Kenya, Rwanda and Uganda for the whole Summer 2013. On a few long weekend, I trekked the Nyungwe Forest to watch colobus monkey, Bwindi Park for a gorilla trekking, Masaai Mara, Lake Nakuru and Lake Naivasha for shoe-string budget safaris, and Lake Burera for a solitary moment. The most memorable moment though was to attend a traditional wedding of the son of my neighbor, Mama Claudine, in Mayange, Rwanda. The wedding was a literally dawn till dusk celebration with unlimited flow of Coca Cola and Fanta.
Been living in a boarding house since I was 14. Had road trip within Java Island in Indonesia and East Coast (from Rhode Island to Florida) of the USA. Last travel was Chichen Itza and Cancun.
PHILOSOPHY
Rideo ergo sum. I laugh therefore I am.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Once upon a time, a best friend of mine told me to join CS. Eventually, here I am!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I am a newbie. I have been travelling since my Junior High and several time crashed in (also hosted) new people, but mostly through word-of-mouth connection (a friend of a friend of my friend). In 2013, I tried couchsurfed in Kigali Rwanda for the first time and was so lucky to find a great host. I then decided to take another couchsurf in Boston, then eventually in Paris, France. So, your couch could be my fourth place to surf...
Interests
I enjoy reading, listening to music, writing (I was once a journalist, and now a freelance writer) and photography. I love to share stories, but also respect privacy.

Homesick by Kings of Convenience (music)
A Man Called of Ove by Fredrik Backman (book)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Making my own fire with Masaai people in Kenya. I learned about making fire on my science class, but had never really had any practical experience until I visited a Masaai Village on a vacation. It took longer time for me to finally get the fire, in comparison to the Masaai guy who did it in a second, but it was an amazing feeling to witness the wood turned into a small fire (then eventually turned into smoke lol). I felt like I could survive "The Survivor" challenge.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Indonesian culture, education and macroeconomic insights. I am not joking! Not an expert, but definitely have some views on these issues lol.
