other travellers have suggested i get into couch surfing...sounds like a great way to meet local people and find out the best bits of the country from the people who know best!

ABOUT ME

Of course I love to travel and meet people and all that usual stuff...I'm Easy going, laid back and can go with the flow. I like to think I get on with a broad range of personalities and ages. As a traveler, I like to see the sites, get to the destination the hard way but also have a laugh and make friends with people along the way.

PHILOSOPHY

Family and friend relationships are most important to me. I'm easy going, laid back and pretty chilled out. I like to think I'm acceptable and respectful of how people choose to live their lives. I'm still discovering how I want to live mine, so want to meet people from different walks of live to help me incorporate bits of their philosophy into mine.
And, hopefully that means meeting and having a great time along the way with the people I meet :)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I like to meet up with other travelers and show them around my city as best I can. I am yet to Surf a couch organised through the site, but cannot wait for my first experience!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I met a Swiss guy in the Philippines who lived on a remote island with his Filipino wıfe. He invited me to stay on this amazing island where i was the only tourist! Amazing!
I have stayed with friends I met while backpacking once they were back home in Denmark and Israel. I was also hosted by an erasmus student in Istanbul whom i met whilst traveling in Armenia.

I have also hosted and shown surfers around my home town.

New and different cultures, languages (I'm hopeless at learning, but manage to ask lots of questions) and traditions.

When at home I like to keep up to date with world events.

Swimming with whale sharks in the Philippines was probably up there on the list, as was an erupting mount Bromo in Java, and Jerusalem's old town or maybe walking around Varanasi.....
Lots and hopefully lots more to come.

The feeling you get whilst doing something that you never thought you would get to do excites me. Weather it's as hard core as a bungee jump or as simple as riding a bike along a coastal road!
