About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to watch, listen, learn and love every minute of it

ABOUT ME

I grew up in Maine and have lived many places since. I have a degree in Sculpture and Philosophy from Brandeis University. I finished my Peace Corps Service in Ghana in 2011. I then worked on a goat farm for a few months and then in Louisville working as Food Justice advocate and community organizer for a myriad of different groups in the area. I am now working on a Master's degree in Urban Studies at the University of New Orleans. I'm a big fan of reading, listening, and watching the various sights and sounds that pass and I'm always happy to have other humans around to enjoy.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm not very good at watching TV but if I have to I stick to the HBOesque good stuff: Wire, Boardwalk Empire. Also, if ever given the remote chances are I will put on some sort of cartoon.I have an extensive DVD collection some favorites include: Cool Hand Luke, Paris Texas, Wild at Heart, Encounters at the End of the World, and anything with Muppets.I read a lot but tend to stick the more realistic fiction genre. I don't dig on Harry P. or LOTR but I can go for some short stories anyday.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I saw a Rastafarian driving a motorcycle with a baboon on the back clinging for dear life. They were both wearing Gourd helmets...

Teach, Learn, Share

I appreciate anyone who is willing to take the time to teach, learn, or share. I boast no expertise but I do like figuring things out together. I can teach you to cook just about anything and am always looking for new recipes to add to the cache.
