About Me

I really enjoy nature, and nothing is worth the first winter walks in the snow. In October, I love to look for stag and watch the deer's slab. Camping is one of my favorite things, hiking as well.

I grew up in Paris and nowadays, I mostly travel in wild places and try to avoid big cities, though I love London, Roma. I actually did urban planning studies before studying wildlife documentary, so I went through a total professionnal retraining in 2014.

I am sensitive to environmental questions, I try to be openminded and believe I am most of the time. I am quite shy though I really enjoy getting to know people. I love discovering new things, and I try to be easygoing and to take care of the others.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because I met great people via CS while traveling 15 years ago, saw great places and traveled more freely with my backpack all around the world.

Music, Movies, and Books

If I had one movie to pick, it would be Princess Mononoke. But a dozen and I would go from "Indiana Jones 3" to "We need to talk about Kevin" so wild choice...

Music : I listen to music all the time, but I have more than 3500 liked tracks on spotify and it is really mixed. Let's say I can't resist the album "based on a true story" nor voguing on Todrick Hall if a track lands...

Books, ouch. Compulsive reader, books are where my money goes...
I love classic French litterature, I also love poetry (from Audre Lorde to Pablo Neruda) and I am found of wilderness and novels of the Gallmeister editions...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A rat attacked me, at night, in my bed in Bombay in 2008.
Since then, I visitided Lapland by ski, I hiked through the Lofoten, I saw sea hippopotamus in the Bijagos Archipelago, I traded with monkeys, I dived in Polynesia with lemon sharks and I saw a golden eagle flew from the top in the Highlands...

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to cook and learn how to cook traditionnal dishes.
I am not sure I am the best teacher, but I never had complaints.

If I can, I practice yoga every morning, and I can also teach basics

I am found of watercolor, and I can as well teach basics.

And I am very curious, and a fast learner. I believe passion is contagious, and so if you are great at something and can teach me a bit of it, I would love it ! That goes the other way around :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Mostly to get to know them, how the percieve the place they live in, visit an area with their recommandations and avaid the main touristic activities, and also learn from their culture, language, cooking habits... Get to know them !
I am not really interested in just checking "touristic things to do" out of a list, now I enjoy traveling with soul and curiousity, and I don't really care if I miss the usual "things to do" if I got to see original sidetracks that I would probably not have found by myself !
