About Me

I'm a friendly Ph.D. student that loves grabbing a backpack and heading on adventures! I've been fortunate enough to previously have had two years our to travel which has me firmly addicted to exploring life and seeking out beautiful sports.

I'd love to learn about other cultures and also (wherever I get the chance!) learn more about sustainable living along the way

Unfortunately, I don't have a couch in my current shared house - but happy to show people around Egham, or London when I'm there!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I previously had a wonderful experience with my friend, staying with a host in Amsterdam, and would love to continue travelling this way.

I am hoping to head to Sweden, Norway or Iceland in September for a few weeks and would love to see the country with insight from locals. I've never been to this region before though it's been on my list for so long - very excited particular to explore nature / active side of wherever I go.

Interests

I'm happiest hiking and wild camping and recently started exploring wild swimming. I also love cycling (recreational, long distance) as a way to explore. I've also started trail running and rowing the last few weeks - so overall sports and the outdoors keeps me pretty busy!

Music, Movies, and Books

Very chilled on music, love sci-fi and non-fiction. I'm really interested in political / society books - and recently enjoyed Harari's Deus. I'm currently reading Sapiens, and I also really enjoy reading current affairs and security literature which links with my research.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Took a three-day ferry South through the fjords by Chile: the most beautiful glacier views, serene stillness, and sleeping out on the top deck under the milky way.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love food, and love sharing British quirks and desserts (and tea, of course).

I also love sharing traveling stories, hopefully exchanging inspiration!

I'm also happy to cook (if you're happy to eat vegetarian :)) - I'm not particularly talented but I'm enthusiastic!
