Hi, Arina here! I was born and from a small town in Russia, but currently studying for a master's in Klagenfurt, Austria.

I love spending time outdoors: hiking, skiing, or just strolling through the woods. My travels usually are a mix of active days and relaxed ones spent sitting in a park drawing or reading. I don’t plan my trips in too much detail and prefer to stay open to new activities and unexpected encounters!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’ve noticed that the people you meet while traveling often have absolutely different way of thinking, and it is mind-blowing to learn to see usual things from other perspectives. Also, it is a goal of my life to be surrounded by interesting and meaningful people.

So, mostly, it's arts and sports, but honestly, I have a ton of hobbies. Usually, they are like the waves: I'm really into one activity for a month or two, and then it gives way to the other one.

Fantasy books; the Raven Cycle by Maggie Stiefvater is favorite by far.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I accidentally fell down from the bridge!

Was trying to learn hang gliding, but it turned out to be pretty hard. Now, I want to try paragliding)

I can identify plants and randomly start saying facts about them. I dream about having a garden of my own one day

I also enjoy painting with watercolors and oil pastels. If you’re interested, I’d love to take you plein-air painting or share a few tips about art.
