Hi guys! This is Arin from Istanbul. I have been a member of this platform for a few years. An on-and-off user basically since I'm generally quite busy due to my work. However, whenever I find some free time, I'll sure do my best to show yous around and make friends if you come to Istanbul and contact me.

I indeed don't like listing a few adjectives here one after the other to describe myself, so it will kindly be up to you to figure out my personality. 😝 But one thing I can promise you: I'm friendly!

Job-wise, I'm an early years English teacher, teaching 5-6 yos in a private school in Istanbul. A great profession for someone who's not very good at being a grown-up...

I am on CS to meet people from all over the world, to share, to discover different cultures, to hear stories and distinct realities of other people, to contribute to and be contributed by the CS community.

兴趣

Good question. I'm a jack of all trades, but master of none. Among my top interests are literature, music, art, history, films, TV series, travelling, games, philosophy, politics and learning new stuff. But honestly, I could be interested in anything as long as it is something really interesting and fun. It's even better if it is witty and, maybe, a bit wicked! 😝

P. S: I LOVE eating good food more than anything.

Narrowing my favourites down is quite a challenge, as I have sooo many of them. My favorite music list includes blues, funk, soul, rock, indie rock, pop, folk, jazz, instrumental and classical pieces from various artists. These days, however, I just can't stop listening to Björk and David Bowie! What powerful words and tunes!

As for movies, series and books, anything by directors/authors/poets who take roads not taken, whose works can slap or trigger the audience/readers' soul and who bravely and smartly demonstrate human condition and how the world works is my favourite.

I have a few favorite authors in children's literature too! Such as Oliver Jeffers, Julia Donaldson, Michael Rosen, etc.
