Über mich
More than visiting new places, I like to visit new experiences. This can include anything from meeting new people or learning new skills to eating new cuisines or even trying to cook something new right at home.
Wait, no, I’m a terrible cook.
Some pragmatic information:
- I don’t have any restrictions on food or type or meat.
- I do not smoke or drink alcohol (sorry!) but I don’t mind if you do. :)
Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin
“Life is short and the world is large.” - Duckhunter44
I travel for a lot of reasons - to explore cultures, geographies, climate, cuisine, people, blah blah.
But mostly, I travel just to get away from the monotony of life - to experience something new. (Deep down, don’t we all?)
I don’t travel to see the Eiffel Towers or the Taj Mahals (heck, I still haven’t seen the Taj) or the Disneylands of the world.
I travel to see the beautiful night sky from your backyard that I can’t see back home, or go to a local football match to cheer for your favourite youth club, or take a walk with a complete stranger like you while discussing anything under the sun, or row a boat around a lake where there’s not another soul in sight, or visit a remote village and help with any work that I can, or simply lend a hand to someone at their home while they cook their meal. Did I mention what an amazing...ahem, awful...cook I am?
Anyway, Couchsurfing lets people do all of the above, and in the process, makes the world a smaller place - one surfer at a time.

Musik, Filme und Bücher
Lord of the Rings
Harry Potter
Game of Thrones
Star Wars (I like the new trilogy better - there, I said it. If you disagree, I’m happy to hear you out. If we still continue to disagree, we can settle on our common love for Baby Yoda. Everybody loves Baby Yoda. Right?)
....all the usual suspects from fiction and fantasy.
I’m also on a mission to watch all IMDb Top 250 movies. Currently at 185/250.
I love watching foreign films. If you have any recommendations for the best movies from your home country, I would love to watch them. The most recent one that I absolutely loved was Parasite (Korean). Do give it a watch if you haven’t already.
Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe
I have driven 50,000+ kilometres in India without a single accident.
Lehren, lernen, teilen
Sports! I love football and can talk for hours about it. I am familiar with the English Premier League and La Liga, but I’ll be honest - I prefer watching the Indian Super League. Bengaluru FC is love.
I also enjoy horseriding, badminton and table tennis.
And then there’s a list of stupid things I’ve done around the world. Happy to share a few with you. But remember, that’s a two-way street. If we’re sharing stories, we’re both taking turns. :p
Was ich mit Gastgebern teilen kann
Above all else, a conversation. I love to talk about almost anything under the sun.
I can also help with your home chores or lend a hand in cooking (if you trust me enough to not burn down your kitchen, hehe).
