Hello thereeeee!
I'm Arissa, from the beautiful island of Tenerife. I love traveling and meeting new people, getting to know other cultures, other languages and, of course, eating!!
I graduated last year and after finishing an internship couple months ago, I’m now taking time for myself, deciding what to do next.
During my Bachelor studies, I had the chance to live in Madrid, Cracow and Amsterdam. It was very challenging, as moving to different cities meant meeting new people, getting used to different cultures, etc., but besides some back-draws, it was a wonderful time and I would live in all the three cities again.
At the moment, I’m back in my hometown, enjoying time with my family and friends, and now, that I’m quite free... it’s time to travel!!!
My next trip is Agadir (Morocco), so help me out if you can! I would really appreciate it!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've done CS three times and I can't wait to do it again! It is just amazing! The first time I did it I was a bit scared, going to a stranger's place to sleep there, take a shower, etc. was something completely new for me, but the experience was so good that I had to do it again!
All hosts are not the same, of course, some of them work, so they can't "deal" with you as much as they wish, but they are always good people and those who leave bad reviews (Not in my case) are just not fair, because even before going to your host's place you already know what he/she expects and how things are going to be like (At least more less you can figure it out). So yes, for me taking part here is just cool! It is not only a matter of saving money (As some people think), it is meeting someone completely random and being like a friend or a relative for a day (Or days, depending on your stay).
I always recommend CS to people and encourage them to try it! If you never try, you will never know!

Interests

I love travelling and meeting new people and places, because that way, you can really appreciate the things you've got and the family you've been given. I also like listening to music, and going to the beach, but as I live far away from the sea, I miss it badly and sometimes it seems like "summertime sadness".

I like all kind of music (Maybe not literally haha) but I prefer reggaeton (Please, haters, no comments ;)) and also techno, hardstyle, pop rock, hip hop and r&b, so as you can see I can adapt to everything!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've been to the Artic Circle and visited Svalbard, a really really big glacier and a ghost town.

Me, young girl from a subtropical climate island, survived one year in Poland and its -25 degrees.

Teach, Learn, Share

On the one hand, I have social skills and I can teach Spanish, and even though people can think that teaching is easy, it's not that easy, you gotta be patient and make people feel comfortable and fullfilled.
On the other hand, I'd like to improve my English and learn French and Italian!
I'm not good at cooking, if you expected me to say "I can cook for you at your place" hahaha but I can try (I'm not that bad either... Actually I think I'm just lazy).
