ABOUT ME

I grew up on the left coast of America in the 1960's ('nuf said). In the mid nineties I moved with family to New Mexico. About 8 years ago we bought a home in southwestern Montana along the Madison River, but have continued to live both in New Mexico and Montana. I have been married to Jaya for 20 years, we have 4 grown children, 2 grand children and 1 barn cat.

PHILOSOPHY

I spend as much time as possible hiking, climbing, playing in and photographing water. My working vision is to do as much as I possibly can to defend and restore Mother Earth, and to walk softly upon her.

I believe "jobs" are simply a way to get from one extended vacation to the next.

I have never surfed. I am hoping to learn to surf with the best!

Interests

Geology, Astronomy, Anthropology, Trekking and Hiking. Water adventures include Canoe Journeys, Paddle Boarding, Snorkeling and Fishing. Viewing and creating film. Road Trips and Music Festivals in my vintage travel trailer.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy most types of music, save probably uber-religious types. Most especially I crave Bluegrass, Festival, Electronic and good Yoga music. I am a huge film buff, up for almost anything. My book interests include learning as much as I can about the area I am traveling in, through literature as well as scientific or historical writings. However, I am currently reading the Game of Throne Books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I did a pilgrimage of Mt.Kailash in Western Tibet, circumambulating at over 18,000 feet, along with spiritual seekers from all walks of life.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to share my knowledge of the Science of Ecology, Climate Change, Anthropology and Alternative Medicine. I want to learn all I can about other cultures and geographies. I seek others who love Mother Earth and want to share in the passion to protect and enjoy their time on the Blue Planet.
