CURRENT MISSION

ABOUT ME

Moved to Madrid for my Spanish minor at the end of August. Looking forward to new meeting new friends and improving my Spanish with some conversation.

Other than that, here was my description before this Madrid thing:

I go to school full time studying psychology and Spanish.

Los Angeles suffers from poor transit systems so I love to explore the public transportation wherever I go. Plus, its a great place to watch and meet people. I travel to New York several times a year to see friends and just be in the city. Favorite spots: Marie's Crisis, The Met (I can spend the whole day there alone), I used to like the original Mr. Blacks.

I ride a scooter around town. Its a black Yamaha Zuma (also have a car- typical consumptive American). And I'm in a thrift store phase right now.

I've worked taking care of kids who have been abused/neglected at a group home for 10 years. Sometimes I get a rock thrown at my face but usually we swim at the beach, play basketball and watch cartoons. Its about helping the kids trust adults and showing them how wonderful the world can be.

I volunteer with the homeless sometimes. Absorbed by music most of my waking and sleeping hours. I sing and play piano/guitar. Oh, and working on getting fluent in Spanish, so here's an open invitation to conversation.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm relatively new to couch surfing but have formed some connections in South Africa, Costa Rica, Switzerland, the UK and Mexico through previous travels. I would love to host and make new friends.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Did some fun surfing in San Francisco. I lived with families in South Africa and Costa Rica for a month each. The home cooked food was incredible in both places. I have friends in New York who are hospitable and generous with their couches. I look forward to sharing my space in Madrid.
