About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Finish my university studies, travel as much as I can around the world and then move to Japan to become a teacher
ABOUT ME
My name is Alice, I am 24 years old, university student studying to become a teacher of English and German :)
I have been away from CS for quite some time, but nevertheless, I always get messages I receive here via e-mail, so definitely don't hesitate to write me (even if my status shows I haven't been online for ages).
Unfortunately, I can't host anyone, but I'm definitely up to showing you around ^_^
I'm a very talkative person, who always has her mouth open (naa, just kidding :P) Actually, I'm quite a good listener and feel free to talk to me about anything you like (of course, as long as it's decent).
I have a BA in Japanese Studies and am generally fascinated by the Japanese culture. Have already been to Japan three times as of today and never ever planning to stop!
Moreover, I love to eat and just hang around, have a good laugh, watch a good movie - anything you like :P
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Up until now I only surfed other people's couches. Since I live pretty much on a mountain top now (30-40min away from Vienna), I am not able to host anyone, BUT I can show you around in Vienna if you want to :)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
It was a very nice and interesting experience. Thanks to Couchsurfing I got to know new people, make new friends and experience different cultures. Of course, not everything was wonderful - the endless movings from one place to the other and one unpleasant surprise at a couchsurfer. But in general, a very good experience to widen your range of friends and knowledge of a country :)
Interests
As mentioned before, I'm a total Japan lover ;)
I love: Japanese food, J-rock, momiji manju, Bubble Tea, Matcha and....COCO CURRY *-*
Moreover I enjoy listening to music in general, travelling and meeting new people, having different and diverse experiences.
I mostly spend my free time cooking, creating new meals or testing and renewing old ones - if there is anything to bake or cook, you better bet I'll be the first one up for the challenge ;)

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: Insidious, Paranormal Activity, Twilight, Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Avatar, Anime, Big Mama's House, Rise of the Guardians, Final Fantasy, Pacific Rim, Dispicable me 1+2....
Music: Heavy Metal, Folk metal Rock, Pop, J-/K-Rock/Pop, Classic,
I don't really have one favourite music genre as I'm very much open to all styles out there.
Teach, Learn, Share
Out of experience I can say - do not always trust good feedback given on this website from one couchsurfer to the other.
When my friend and me where couchsurfing, we stumbled upon a profile that had really great and positive feedback from other couchsurfers, so we decided to write to this person. We were accepted, but when we arrived at the place, the living condition we found there was horrible and NOT ONCE mentioned in any of the feedback given on the person's profile.
My advice: contact the people who actually stayed at the person's place and ask them about their experience (and most importantly LIVING CONDITIONS!).
