About Me

I'm pretty simple...

Sports, travel, comedy, food, sports, beer, travel, sports...In no particular order.

That basically sums it up!

General Philosophy:
1) You miss 100% of the shots you don't take
2)Live life to the fullest.
3)Don't do things half-heartedly...Do everything with 200% intensity...After all, it's better to do things fully, than not at all!
4) *This one is the most important in my book* "Be the change you want to see in the world." ~Gandhi
WHY I'M ON COUCHSURFING

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Unfortunately, not enough people (in my humble opinion) take advantage of what this world has to offer. There is so much to see, so much food to eat, so many people to meet, so many languages to speak and so many cultures to learn about. Thankfully, I have done a great deal of traveling, but this is just the beginning!

I have always been outgoing and wanting to meet locals during all of my trips, and thanks to CS,that seems to be more of a reality than ever!

Music, Movies, and Books

Comedy, comedy, comedy. I don't do much reading :-/ but in terms of movies it's all about laughter. Well, that's what my whole life's about! At least I try to make it that way :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Wow...This is a tough one. The Western Wall in Jerusalem is one of my favorite places on earth. I go very often, but the experience never gets old.

Other amazing things I've seen/done include:
Niagara Falls (US-Canadian border)
Ice-skating on the Rideau canal (Ottawa, Canada)
Watching Barak Obama be elected (USA)
The Dead Sea (Israel)
Riding with a local on a bicycle (Amsterdam, Netherlands)
Scuba diving in Sharm-El-Sheikh (Egypt)
The Colosseum (Rome, Italy)
Driving 13 hours from Rome to the Alps (Interlaken, Switzerland)
Eiffel Tower (Paris, France)
The Berlin Wall, or what's left of it (Berlin, Germany)
Grand Canyon (Arizona, USA)
Temple of the Reclining Buddah (Bangkok, Thailand)
Angkor Wat and Ta Prohm (Siem Reap, Cambodia)
Cabo da Roca - Westernmost point in continental Europe (Portugal)
Tanah Lot and the Sacred Monkey Forest (Bali, Indonesia)
World Cup in person (Brasil 2014 and Russia 2018)

The list goes on, but I just keep adding :) But hey...I guess I have to stop somewhere!

I have yet to see a majority of the world, and everytime I see something worthwhile I immediatly realize how much I have yet to see! This is why I love to travel, and ALWAYS keep my eyes open for the potential hidden beauties.

Teach, Learn, Share

Hmm...I'm stumped. I'd consider myself more of a learner and sharer than a teacher.

Anyone care to teach?

What I Can Share with Hosts
