I'm Julien, or Jof, as you want, I did suscribe to CouchSurfing a looong time ago and I definitely don't regret it.
It's gave me another way of handling my travels, kinda adventures when you don't know anything about your hosts, the area etc, then eveything is new and it makes you discover a thousand different way of life, of mind, of culture, which is one of the best experience I'm looking for !

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

To take my car and take the road whithout knowing where to go... I did it few times through Europe, just amazing.
One thing amazing happened to me thanks to CouchSurfing, is the fact I took an airplane to go to Greece just for celebrate the new year, few days, without preparing anything, thanks to a couchsurfer. Trust me, you can make amazing meeting if you are open minded ;)
