About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Open to host Israeli/Jewish guests and families with kids after mid June 2017.
ABOUT ME
Adventurous, friendly, open-minded, enthousiastic. I love meeting new people. I really come alive in multi-cultural settings.
And I love cooking for friends and I like healthy food. I'm learning to play the guitar (still beginner).
I have a house with garden of my own. I'd love to host people (or just meet for a beer/cup of coffee), show you around this beautifull area in the center of The Netherlands.
Families with children are also more than welcome (if you don't mind sleeping on mattresses on the ground): 2 people in the guest room; 2 in the living room.
PHILOSOPHY
Born to be free!
Follow your heart (not your head)
Live life to the fullest

I've been to Israel for 5 - 6 weeks in 2012 and 2013 and 2015. Had a great time meeting people, who shared their meals with me when I was camping in the Negev.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Helped at two-weekly children's clubs and summer camps. I really enjoy working with children age 6 to 12 - their simplicity and the way they explore the world around them.
Trying to become more like a child again myself :-)
On top of Mount Kenya, after (what seemed) a long climb in the dark, to see the sun rise above the clouds.
Walking along the coast of South Africa for 5 days along the Otter Trail, away from civilization, enjoying nature.
And I'll never forget that day in Kenya when, in a fully packed mini van (always place for more passengers), I got into a conversation with a lady who told me she was the director of a primary school for poor children. When she heard where I was going, she invited me to stay with her family. It was probably the first time in his life for her son to have a mzungu (white man) sleeping next to him :-)
WWOOFing (volunteered) at a farm in Israel. Pruning trees in a beatiful mountain area.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'd love to hear your stories!
Share about my travels in Africa, Israel and Europe.
Looking for people who want to teach me some Hebrew. I have a good basis already, reading the Tanach (Bible) in Hebrew.
