Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like to have spontanious non planned holidays, just go and see what will happen.
Couchsurfing is a great way to connect with the locals.

Interests

I'm all about water, i love water.
I like swimming, sailing, diving, everything in, on, under or around water is something i'm interested in.

When i'm at work i'm sailing all across the oceans as an officer/navigator or as a mechanical engineer.

When i'm at home i am a volunteer at the local nautical boy-scouts. Teaching them sailing skills and having fun.

During most summer holidays i'm organizing sailingcamps for kids between 12 and 19 years old.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm all about the fantasy stylish movies/books.
For example i readed the harry potter books in english during middle school since they had not been published in dutch at that time.

Also i'm into movies as the hunger games, maze runner and divergent etc.

A guilty pleasure of mine are animation movies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

-Sailed a sailboat for 2 weeks between the islands of Croatia with some friends.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Typical dutch 'gezelligheid' translated best as good atmosphere/ cosyness.

I'm quite a technical guy so i can help with some small repairs if needed.
