ABOUT ME

I am psychologist, born 1959. Living in an wooden house in the middle of Vaasa. Home with one ethiopian student. Place still for surfers. My three oldest children already away from home. 2 grandchildren living near By.

PHILOSOPHY

Do/act to others in a way you would like to be treated. Enjoy the moment but also plan the future. Help people in need in many different ways.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am travelling quite a lot from my work, but if possible, I am happy to have you to visit us and show you around Vaasa, and maybe summerhouse in summer also!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am an active member of www.servas.org already 30 years, so I have long experience of having people stay in our home, and I have been travelling as member (2 nights stay as familymember), already over 20 countries.

Interests

People: many friends in Finland and in other countries, also "mother" for several ethiopians, nature, chorus: singing in creek orthodox church, travelling a lot in Finland and other countries, member of ISPA, CISV, Amnesty, Greenpeace, Red Cross

I read a lot, and love good movies and specially documentaries.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Nature in all countries I have visited is always different and amazing, but specially Yellow Mountins in China were really unique. But near Vaasa we have also Unseco Natural Heritage Area, Archipelago which is amazing!

Teach, Learn, Share

All this sharing is so familiar to me as a member of a big Servas family. All people coming to us are treated as family members.
