Hi people!

So something about ourselves: I'm Arjen 26 years old guy from the Netherlands. I grew up on a dairy farm, am a graduate student in quantum computing now. I love listening to soulful and worldly music, read books and to travel around with my girlfriend Liz!

She is a 26 year old American studying wind energy in the Netherlands. We met together in Copenhagen and we''re now living together in Delft (also called 'little Amsterdam'), a very picturesque place in Holland.

From the 24nd of July, we will travel to Croatia to explore its nature, cuisine, and its (probably) lovely people. We are looking for a friendly host who can give us a little taste of Croatia! And who knows: if you ever come to the Neterlands, we would be glad to return the favor.

Wide range of music, from world music (Afrofunk, Afrodisco,..) to Soul and Jazz and futermore everything that involves syntesizers.

Favrourite movie: Snatch. The moment where all hell breaks loose and the Massive Attack song (Angel) starts playing... Watch it, if you haven't done so.

Hands down the best book I've ever read is 'the Karamazov brothers' by Dostoyevsky.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

Survived an earthquake.

Two years ago I got trapped on an Indonesian island during the big Lombok earthquake of 2018. We were sitting by a bonfire at the beach after a beautiful sunset, when the ground started shaking under our feet. People dropped over, buildings collapsed and lots of damage was done to the country. We had to run to higher grounds for the tsunami danger.
