I'm an ocean geek (scientist) dragging his feet overland. I'm well-traveled but remain curious about the blank regions on maps - and bicycle touring is a great way to explore them. I'm combining my previous joys of camping, landscapes and, well, cycling. My current project in 2024 is a solo ride from the North Sea to the Mediterranean, and then head east to the Caucus mountains in Georgia/Armenia. I'm mostly self-equipped but look to hosts mainly for some company, to cook together and exchange with other travelers.
