About Me

A wandering soul with a passion for medicine. I am studying Medicine in Chengdu, China at the moment but am from India. I'd like to describe myself as someone who's spontaneous, understanding, adventurous and just the right amount of crazy to be interesting.
My love affair with travel started a few years back when I decided to backpack through Vietnam; I haven't looked back since. I've traveled to 8 countries so far and the experiences have been surreal.
I've had a few mottos to live by for as long as I can remember but the one that I am truly embodying are, "Once a year travel to a place that you've never been to before", "Money shall come and go, it's temporary; the memories and experiences you have on the other hand live on forever".
Chengdu, China is currently my home away from home. It wasn't all roses and petals when I got here at first 5 years ago with absolutely no knowledge of the language whatsoever. However, things have changed. Having grown up in a constantly changing environment and done 12 years of education in 13 different schools, I believe I'm adaptive and can acclimatize to whatever and wherever.
I'm a VERY picky eater who's recently become more health conscious. I love to experiment and Flambé is my new favorite. I cook on a very regular basis and have no prejudice for any animal or vegetable alive. As Andrew Zimmern says, "If it looks good, I'll eat it".
Coffee is another one of my passions that I've recently been indulging in. Still working on the finer tunings of the perfect grind, brew temperature, time etc but I'm getting there. Despite some really really disappointing results (a few, not all), I personally find the experience to be therapeutic and kind of rejuvenating.
Books have been a part of my life ever since I could read. I owe it to my father for having advocated and encouraged this habit. Nonetheless, I have a substantial collection of books both as ebooks and in my house. I have a standing offer for a cup of coffee and/or to lend a book to anyone and everyone in Chengdu.
In a nutshell, my Instagram name, "Wandering Zephyr" fits me to the T. Got loads to learn, adventures to go to, people to meet and memories to make. After all, we all got just one life to live.
