I am a 32 year old musician who has been living out of Bangalore for the last 8 years. I make music for film and theatre and work with the folk traditions of musical and other artistic communities. I have no particular dietary preferences, am liberal and open to alternative living arrangements.

Working outside the mainstream music industry allows me to travel to various places to learn and make new music. Since most of my work is with theatre and folk art preservation, I have to bear most of the costs myself. The opportunity to stay in someones home often allows me to take up exciting work that would otherwise be impossible.

The fact that I might meet new and interesting people is an added bonus.

I listen to a lot of folk music from around the world, contemporary jazz, classic rock and experimental electronic music.

My favorite authors are Kurt Vonnegut, Umberto Eco, Neil Gaiman, Chuck Pahlaniuk and Jack Kerouc.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

I played guitar for a very well-known Indian singer in Assam a few years ago in the middle of an insurgency. We drove through areas torn apart by civil strife and performed to a crowd of 20,000 people comprising civilians and militants, surrounded by snipers and armed commandos from the Indian Army.

This might not be the most amazing thing I've done but it makes for the best stories.

I love teaching and sharing what I know of music to anyone who is interested in learning. I also regularly work with actors, dancers, comedians and anyone else who is interested to help them cultivate inner musicality and rhythm in whatever work they do.

As a guitar player, I also spend time teaching the instrument to interested students.

As a musician, the thing I can share most generously is my music. Apart from playing music and sharing from my collection of music, I am happy to teach and share whatever I can about my trade.

I also clean up after myself rather well and am happy to help around the house when I am not out on work.
