Overview
About Me
I am lately experiencing the joy of travelling, exploring and meeting random people; never realized how it changes one and allows for a deeper and seemingly mature introspection.
Looking to meet people and make friends. So ping me, maybe we can find a different perspective of the city together.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
" There are 2 ways you can experience the world; either go out there or let it come to you " - one of the couchsurfing veterans who hosted me!
My ex-girlfriend introduced me to couchsurfing; I hadn't used it in India. My friend and I started hosting people at our rented house in Germany. We met some absolutely fabulous people. The vicarious travelling experience during the discussions are, at the least, addictive.
Interests
Long lasting interests have been reading, playing my guitar, mindless and - ful discussions. I love food(vegetarian), cycling, coffee and cats!
Some small interests:
- Baking pizza
- Want to pick a lock!
- Own a drab dingy pub with some good beer
- Take part in a mock medieval battle!
- Be ambidextrous in writing!
If anyone can help me achieve these sooner, I will be grateful :P
- cats
- writing
- beer
- pub crawls
- reading
- traveling
- juggling
- guitar
Music, Movies, and Books
I seem to have identified books that have inspired phases of my life, contributing to my personality.
As a kid - Treasure Island, Robinson Crusoe
A teenager - Lord of the Rings, Silmarillion
Post teenage - Hyperspace, Gardens of the Moon
Current - Quantum Psychology, Prometheus Rising, Up Wingers, Brave New World
These are THE books among many that I identify to have shaped me. If you notice, my personality comes out a little less pragmatic, a bit dreamy, capricious, based on the genre of the books. I was an idealist. Now I am just confused.
“I don't believe anything, but I have many suspicions.” - Robert Anton Wilson
I used to watch a ton of movies and shows. I prefer to watch none now. My favourite shows would be Wilfred, Berserk, Fringe and South Park.
Grew up being a stauch metalhead. Played in a few bands, played a few concerts - the aggressive, loner part of life. Now that I have crossed puberty (I believe) my emotions are a lot more managable (sometimes) so I am open to most music that has instruments.
My brain doesn't seem to have understood how to shake a leg but only my head. I try; I've killed a few who've witnessed it :P
