About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Travel is the midwife of thoughts; A day without dancing is a day without living;

ABOUT ME

I like to get to know other people, but at the same time I live and let live. I am vegetarian, non smoker, and enjoy a healthy life. My passion is to dance: I was a good ballroom dancer years ago, but I now dedicate my time to Lindy Hop, Salsa and Argentine Tango. As my work is to travel around the world, I am not so into visiting churches, museums or other touristic sights (which I do with my tourists) when I am travelling on a private basis, but to get to know a country and its people from the inside and dancing is a wonderful way to do so. I love to cook and try new, local food all around the world.
I grew up in Austria, worked for three years in Spanish speaking countries (Cuba, Dom. Rep. and Spain), moved then to Milan/Italy where I lived/worked in tourism for 15 years until I moved to Oslo/Norway 11 years ago. I have always been working in tourism and with translations, both simultaneous and consecutive (Italian/German/English). When I am not working, I either enjoy my beautiful flat in Oslo or I just book myself a flight to anywhere in the world, just as it comes up. I am a free-lancer and dispose about my own time.
I do not hang out. I love to stay at home when at home.
In 2011 I met my future husband Hernan. We are living in Oslo. Hernan G
graduated from IUNA in Buenos Aires and works today as an arist in Oslo as well as an authorized Oslo guide.

PHILOSOPHY

Everyday is a gift, that´s why they call it the present

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I heard about CS from a friend I met during a trip to Thailand

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I CS for the first time in my life in San Juan de Puerto Rico for almost a month and it is the most marvellous travel experience ever! I met so wonderful people and was introduced to my hosts´ friends and their friends. I would never have enjoyed my stay in PR so much as I did without CS! Second time I CS was, again for almost one month, in Buenos Aires, and again, I have met so marvellous people that I will never ever do anything but CS in my whole private-travel-life! So, in order to give some of the good I received back, I host in my home too, and I met a lot of great people!

Interests

Healthy life, nutrition, dance (Lindy Hop, Salsa, Argentine Tango, Ballroom), culture, history, sports, and when at home I love to read, listen to my music and do just nothing at all ;)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Every single day is a special day in itself! The past is what you are today and today is what you will be in the future. So I live and appreciate every single day as it is.

Teach, Learn, Share
