About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To catch a fairy.

ABOUT ME

Things that you might want to know about me:

- Truth, beauty, freedom, and love: that's all my heart needs (yes, I'm quoting Moulin Rouge).

- I love costumes. I have a chest full of those in my room. It's my treasure chest! :) So, if you know about a costume party, please invite me in. Otherwise I'll have to keep wearing my costumes in regular parties and some people think I'm awkward because of that. :P

- I'm very moody, then sometimes I really need my space. So don't be offended if I decide to spend a whole day in my room. It's not personal, ok? I'll respect you if you need to do the same. :)

- I have an awful (I said AWFUL) sense of direction and I ALWAYS get lost, even in my own neighborhood. Let's get lost together. :p

- I get bored easily and I always have this weird feeling that if I am not having fun or learning something really important, I am wasting a precious time in my life. Please, ENTERTAIN ME OR TEACH ME SOMETHING. PLEASE.

- I put Ketchup on EVERYTHING (specially on pizza!) and it doesn't mean the food tastes bad. If you are Italian... well... sorry. X)

- I love beer. All kinds of beer. Invite me to have some!

- I'm obsessed about Arlecchino, the Middle Ages, and Celtic stuff. You'll get used to that.

- I believe in elves, fairies and dwarves. I also believe in Orishas and Brazilian entities. You'll get used to that too. ;)

- I DON'T speak Spanish. But if this is your first language, we can try "Portunhol." :P

PHILOSOPHY

Life is too short to be boring. Let's dance.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Well... I like showing Rio and São Paulo around, the cities I love with all my heart. I'm kinda an amateur tour guide (with a bad sense of direction, remember that).

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I traveled around US and met some AWESOME people trough this site. CS has been changing my life and who I am in a very positive way.

Music, Movies, and Books

I LOVE movies, especially sarcastic weird comedies. My favorites guys are Woody Allen, Hitchcock, Kubrick, Lars Von Trier, Tim Burton, Tarantino... You know, the geniuses :P

And I also LOVE Brazilian cinema. I don't mind talking about City of Gods and Elite Squad. +1 if you watched those. :)

Fight Club is my favorite book.

I like poetry a lot and Fernando Pessoa is GOD to me. GOD!

My musical taste is weird, really really weird. Let me try to explain...

I love samba and I become a professional dancer when I'm drunk (at least I feel like one =p). I love discovering folk music from distant countries. Show me your samba!

But I also love heavy metal, so if they mix folk music with heavy metal, I'LL BE THERE, loving it.

And my favorite band is U2.

I told you, it doesn't make sense at all.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- Olinda's carnival, in Brazil. I strongly believe that if there is a Heaven, it must be exactly like Olinda.- Hiking on the Mount Ranier in Tacoma. The most beautiful thing I've ever seen (after a dancing plastic bag :P). - Rubulad Party in Brooklyn. The only thing that I can compare to this experience is carnival in Olinda. - New York. It's not a city. It's not a state. It's not America. It is... something else. - Urca, in Rio. I don't even like beaches, but this one is a piece of Paradise.- DUBLIN!- 70 Thousand Tons of Metal - Ok, imagine a heavy metal festival, with 40 bands, that happens in a boat, going to Caribbean, with only 2.000 people, from all around the world. Everybody is in an awesome mood (some wearing funny costumes), the bands hang out with fans, the bars never close, everyone wants to talk to you, be nice to you, and know what's your favorite kind of metal (and you won't be judged if you like the most ridiculous kind of metal in the world, as folk, power or melodic metal - which is pretty much my case). People that goes there every year will try their best to make you feel home. They will show you around, be patient with your over enthusiastic behavior, make sure you are in the front row during the concerts of your favorite bands and say "Welcome to our family." This place exists. And I've been there. |m|

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach? Well... I can make caipirinha... Would you like to learn it?

I'll probably ask you to show some folk music from your country or your city.
