Overview
About Me
I'm an American flight attendant currently living in Northern Virginia near Washington DC. I just started a few months ago, and before that I lived and worked in France for 2 years. Because I have a very international family, I've been traveling since I was a kid and can honestly say it is my number one passion. Travel has made me a lover of cultures and languages, and although I only speak 2 languages right now, I know continuing to learn more will be a lifelong hobby (next up is either German or American Sign Language... Probably both).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To meet people from all over the world and really get to know the cities I visit by talking with the people who call each place home! It's a great way to be exposed to cultures, not just sights, when traveling. The conversations you can have and friendships you can start make traveling that much more memorable.
Interests
Traveling, making jewelry, reading, tasting and comparing various local beers, and getting lost in beautiful places.

Music, Movies, and Books
My current favorite book series is the "Merde" series by Stephen Clarke and follows his semi-autobiographical character "Paul West" in his time in France. So hilariously relatable to an anglophone who spent a long time stumbling through the French culture and language.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I spent a few months in college working on a production set for a TV show and then a movie... All because a friend asked if I could come help out at her new job for a few days. I actually very seriously considered dropping out of college to pursue a career in film, but in the end decided my education was more important.
Teach, Learn, Share
Most important thing I learned while living in Northern France: Belgian and Flanders beer is the BEST beer in the world. Sorry to my German brother-in-law, but the beer of his homeland just doesn't even come close (although they sure know how to celebrate beer at Oktoberfest).
What I Can Share with Hosts
A listening ear, some heart-felt laughs, and hopefully a couple of drinks and the nearby watering hole.
