Living! (...and getting to Antarctica)
ABOUT ME
If I'm at home for too long I get itchy feet an need to travel again!
I'm a relaxed traveller. I'd rather take my time in fewer places than rush through and see everything. I like the outdoors (wild animals are kind of my thing) and languages and museums. I'm a pretty easy going person and I'm open to new experiences and learning new things.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm surfing on my travels and hopefully when I'm in one place for a while I'll be hosting (assuming my housemates agree to it).
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've been surfing in Baden-Baden in Germany and in Mexico, and had far more rewarding than other options so I'm excited to do more of it when the right opportunity comes along. A former housemate in Berlin was a host and we had people surfing at our place all the time, which added a lot of life and interest to an already lively house!
Interests
There are so many things I like to do that finding time for all of them can be a challenge but here are some things that I'm always trying to do more of: rockclimbing, hiking, camping, reading, yoga, learning, sewing, speaking different languages, live music - at home or at a concert, baking, spending an entire weekend chilling out with my friends, dancing, making preserves, working/volunteering with wild animals, seeing new places ...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Watched the sunset over the beach each evening while on "turtle patrol" on a desert island. There were 10 of us and nothing else (ok there was 1 tree and a few birds) on this remote island, which suited me perfectly.
Sampling seaweed from the icy water by wading in a survival suit while in the high arctic during the polar night was pretty good, too.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm always happy to share any of my knowledge with my hosts whether that's related to nature, teaching some German, baking bread etc. I'll gladly cook a meal for my hosts and share some stories over dinner.
