My name is Arlo Bruckmann and I am currently on a gap year, and trying to visit most of Europe. I graduated high school in the class of 2017-2018 and decided to take a gap year before going to college. I moved to France at the end of the summer 2018 with my family.
I am currently studying French and playing Basketball for the Aix Marseille University in Aix-en Provence, France, for a semester. I am pretty social and like to meet new people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on Couchsurfing to be able to see part of the world before I have to make big commitments to college, work, etc. I would like to travel through Europe so that I can learn and see new things that could possibly lead to new career opportunities.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite types of music are Rap, Hip-Hop, and Rock. I listen to Rap when I exercise because it helps me preform, otherwise I will listen to Hip-Hop or mellow Rock.
As for movies I don't really watch many because I normally am busy and if I do I'll watch comedy movies or shows. My favorite show is The Office.
As for reading I don't read much. I am a pretty active person and reading just isn't really an interest.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

An amazing thing I have done was working for camps back in the United States. I have worked for 2 different camps in the past 3 summers. 1 year as a Junior Counselor at a large sleep away camp and 2 years working at a small intercity camp. These were amazing experiences for me because I learned a lot working with campers.
