Hi, I'm Arly. I'm a 32-year-old self-employed artist, born and based in Montréal, Québec. I am a second generation Canadian with Greek/Romanian parents, and 2 younger sisters. They all work together and, as a self employed artist, I'm the black sheep of the family.

I've been painting murals and canvasses since 2002, and recently I've been learning glass bending for making neon installations. I support myself through private, corporate, and public commissions, and I work part time in a neon fabrication shop.

My second passion is cooking and eating. Surprising to some since I'm quite slim, no one really knows where it all goes. I'm a very adventurous eater and I'd take every opportunity to eat anything for the first time.

I'm a little bit of a creative weirdo who takes a moment to come out of his shell with new friends, but I'm low-stress and very considerate.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm doing a little tour of Europe this summer to participate in several street-art mural festivals in Estonia, Germany, and Ireland. I am painting a mural for the festivals, and I am using the time in between to discover as much of each country as possible. My trip is entirely self-funded, so I am relying heavily on the generosity and hospitality of the kind people on cs.com and looking forward to new experiences and lasting friendships.
