About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Life is short. Turn every minute of it into something memorable!

ABOUT ME

I'm a straightforward, honest and open-minded person. I like to hang out with friends, go shopping, do sports (fitness, diving, snowboarding, skiing, sailing, ...) and most of all: partying and travelling! Living abroad in France, Spain and Bangkok really opened my eyes to really getting to know different cultures. I had already travelled a lot before, but being a tourist is very different from actually living somewhere else :) Meeting new, internationally minded people is definitely something I enjoy!

I just finished my studies and will start working at a multinational in January. Until then I'm working some temporary jobs and I'll go travelling for 1,5 month at year-end.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

During a trip to Bagan, Burma, I met a woman at one of the temples. She showed me and a friend around, telling us about the temple's history and such. Afterwards, she asked whether we had dinner plans already, because she would love to invite us over to her place. That night, she and her daughter came to our hostel with a torch to pick us up. We had dinner in her house, a bamboo hut, where she and her 5 children lived in. Instead of eating with us, they were just sitting around us, watching us eat and asking all kinds of questions about our country. It was amazing to hear what it's like to live in Burma from a local. She didn't have anything at all, yet invited us to dinner and shared everything she had. I will never forget this unique experience and incredibly friendly woman full of hope of better times to come.
