To finish my master's degree in Anthropology

ABOUT ME

I'm a liberal, fun, anthropology graduate student here in Grand Junction busy loving life, and enjoying being with fun people. I'm a very outdoorsy sort of person and I've worked over several years with both the Forest Service and the BLM doing archaeology and over two years for a fabulously outdoorsy co-op. Everyone should get paid to work outside. I am an active hiker, snowshoer and backpacker. I've lived most of my life in Utah and Colorado, so areas like Moab, Fort Collins and Vernal have special places in my heart.
I enjoy other people's perspectives and love learning foreign languages. I've recently taken French classes, and love improving.
We've got three silly cats and that's about all I can think of!

We've hosted several surfers so far! We love to meet fun folks and help them out if possible (and if they like cats).

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm not a music elitest, I find that tacky. I like most anything that can move my hips, heart, or soul. I'm not picky and appreciate people's creative non-cookie cutter musical talents. That said, I'm currently enjoying Rufus Wainwright, Tori Amos, Coldplay, Turin Brakes, Eastmountainsouth, the High Llamas, VAST, The Cocteau Twins, Nickel Creek, Louise Attaque, The Clash, The Stranglers, Pink Floyd and such, but I do fancy myself a bit of techno...especially trance. That music goes on forever! Though I'll also settle for world (especially arabique), bluegrass, celtic. Most anything really.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Got married on the edge of the Grand Canyon and have hiked it rim to rim.
