About Me
Hey everyone! Thanks for clicking over to my profile! First and foremost, I'm a fluent speaker of English and Spanish. My family lives in New Jersey in the US, but I currently live and teach English in Madrid.
A high school teacher asked me to join her on a trip to Spain in 2013. It was the first time I had ever been on a plane since I was three or four years old, and it was the first time I had been out of the United States. The trip had a huge impact on my life.

I hope to gain as many authentic experiences from my time abroad so that I can share them (the appropriate ones haha) with my students. I hope to one day be fortunate enough to provide less fortunate kids with the opportunities given to me. I'd love for them to be able to travel the world and learn all that the world has to teach us.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I haven't ever couchsurfed before. I have been lucky enough to meet friends from around the world. When I have visited them and stayed with their families, the cultural exchange is much richer and the experience much more memorable.
I'm a neat, humble and honest person looking to share my culture and knowledge with like-minded, spirited and optimistic people.
Interests
When I'm not teaching, I'm preparing my lessons while listening to music. I listen to almost everything depending on my mood. When I'm not preparing my lessons, I'm writing, while listening to music. Generally, I like to write to the pop stuff. When I'm not writing, I'm reading while listening to music. I almost can't read without some time of background noise/music. And when I'm not reading, I'm watching films while list - nah. But yea, I love music and it's a big part of my life.

Music, Movies, and Books
Favorite song in the whole wide world: Hallelujah - Jeff Buckley vers.
Last movie seen: Concussion with Will Smith
Currently reading: Misión Olvido (María Dueñas) I've been reading this book for three months haha. I can't seem to get through it, but it really is quite good - a story about a teacher who travels from Spain to work in the US. :)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I cooked a Spanish paella and had a Spaniard tell me it was "nice". I love cooking and experimenting with food (sometimes it comes out good)!!
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach English, Spanish, beginner guitar. I can teach you to make my not-really yet world famous chicken, or how to make a mean taco (literally a very rude taco).
I want to learn the small details about your culture. Customs, traditions, tidbits left out of the textbooks and travel blogs, etc.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share my experiences from the United States and Spain, cooking tips, my music and writing.
Countries I’ve Visited
France, Italy, Morocco, Spain
Countries I’ve Lived In
