Hi all!

I think I'm a quite enthusiastic person who loves to build relationships with other people. Thus, I like to listen to life stories of others and share a nice and insightful conversation with them.

I'm a nature lover, being a scout since childhood and still trying to find time throughout the year to sleep under the stars. I'm quite a mountain person, hiking through landscapes and uphill makes me feel so free any time.

I love to learn new things, doing things for the first time, diving into other cultures and broadening my horizon this way. Although I learned things my whole life (who doesn't?) I can't get enough of it, so I'm really striving for these moments of realisation when everything's just coming together and you earned a new perspective on life!

Being in companionship with others enriches my life, especially if they're nice to be around, but I'm also still figuring out the balance between socializing and the need of being for myself from time to time.

I like honesty and open communication because this way you know what to deal with instead of guessing what could be the case. I like it, if adults are practising it, but this is also something I like about children. I studied to become a primary school teacher, so I like to be in direct interaction with kids for a significant part of the day! That makes me happy most of the times, too. ;-)

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

I want to discover other ways of living, meet new people, gain new perspectives on life and be able to travel more flexible. I'm pretty sure that it is way more insightful to actually live with people that are used to the country I'm visiting, so I like that idea a lot about Couchsurfing.

And this also goes the other way around: When I'm home I'm very open to visitors, open my home to others, who really want to experience the city, I'm currently living in. In my experience, being a tourist does not help with that most of the time.

Música, películas y libros

I really am into movies and tv series, even though I'm not always able to find time for that. This makes it especially hard to present my favorite movie of all time here. But maybe let's talk about it when we meet each other! :-)

My taste for music is quite broad, since it really depends on my mood what I want to listen to. Chilled EDM is a no-brainer for me most of the time, but I also really like music with thoughtful lyrics, a capella groups and (sometimes) abstract music. Maybe it's easier to say what I don't listen to that often: death metal and rap that reproduces sexist or other devaluing attitudes.

I try to read every day, but it's not that easy for me sometimes. But I really am into non-fictional books right now, which tackle social issues. I also read some fictional books but these have to be very much hand-picked.

Exploring Northern Europe: walking through a swamp in Sweden, seeing Northern Lights over Lofoten in Norway and cross-country-skiing in Finland
Also seeing endless forests in Canada: its landscape is so unbelievably beautiful to me.

I'm into cooking, languages (German, English, a bit of Finnish), video production, scouting skills, nature, playing the guitar and teaching itself ..., so maybe you'll find something I can teach you as well! :)
