Overview
About Me
I was born in a very small and quaint city in the North of Spain (San Sebastián). However, as soon as I got my first passport, I have been in different countries! I started with an exchange year in the United States when I was 15. I had the chance to live with an American host family while attending an American High School for a whole academic year! Later on, I spent a summer with an Irish family in Dublin! Back in Spain, I started studying Economics and International Development in Madrid. I worked for a few months for Oxfam Spain, until I decided to go on another exchange in Paris! I had the chance to learn French there while living so many wonderful adventures with amazing people. Just when I thought I was going to finally settle down, I had the chance to go on (another) exchange at University of Ottawa, Canada, for 4 months. Once again, the experience was eye opening and I will certainly not forget the winter temperatures (I still shiver when I think about it). Once I finished by Bachelor's, I decided to continue to start a Master's program back in Paris, where I currently live. However, as you may expect, as soon as I finish my studies, I will move somewhere else for sure. (did I say I love travelling? ;D )
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
During my international stays, I really enjoy meeting locals. It is the best way of getting to know the true essence of a place. No need to say that it is a wonderful opportunity to make new friends too! That's why I think Couchsurfing is a great idea to do both things!
Interests
I am passionate about travelling, learning languages, lifestyles... I also enjoy going to History Museums and learning about local culture. I love reading things that conern global social justice, feminism, human rights, philosophy, sociology, psychology and then sharing ideas with people to listen to what they have to say!

Music, Movies, and Books
I would say I love all the movies made by Pedro Almodóvar (Volver is one of my favorites). French movies, such as Amélie (who does not like Amélie?) and Intouchables will always be special for me. I also enjoy movies that spark critical perspectives (Inside Job, Capitalism a love story...).
As for literature, I'm more old schooled. I really enjoy reading books written by the classical authors, both Spanish or Latin American (Cela, Quevedo, Pío Baroja, Borges, Rulfo) and international (Shakespeare, Poe, Flaubert).
Regarding music, I have quite a diverse taste, but I would say that Queen is on top of all.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Two summers ago a friend of mine and I travelled to Thailand! We had the chance to see amazing places! We really enjoyed the weather (although sometimes it could get really really warm) and the landscapes! Temples, monuments, (spicy) food, night markets, elephants (we went to a sanctuary!)... we were just blown away!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Some people say I am very good at teaching Spanish! Others say that my Spanish Tortilla is the best! I am always eager to teach people both (or more) things! :)
