About Me

Hello! My name is Arnau, and I’ve been using Couchsurfing for many years. In 2018, I moved to Berlin, and since then, I haven’t had the chance to use the platform as much because I’ve been living in shared houses without a proper living area. However, after reminiscing with friends about how great was using the platform, I’ve decided to start using it again. I’m planning a trip to Japan with my sister, and we’re excited to connect with new people along the way :) Some info about us:

We’re Arnau and Adriana, a sibling duo from Barcelona, currently based in Berlin where we work as artists. Our shared interest in art and travel has led us to explore various parts of the world and engage with people from diverse backgrounds.

From a young age, we’ve been interested in discovering new places and meeting people with different perspectives. This curiosity has taken us to destinations like Mexico and China. Through these experiences, we’ve learned that the most valuable parts of our travels often come from the connections we make with others. We enjoy learning about the lives of the people we meet, sharing our own stories, and making meaningful memories together.

We approach our travels with a focus on respect and positive engagement. We believe being a good guest involves more than just having a place to stay—it’s about contributing to the experience in a positive way.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

In 2008, Arnau embarked on a transformative 6-month exchange program with AFS in Australia. During this time, he lived with a host family and attended an Australian school, which deepened his appreciation for cultural and personal exchange. Immersed in local customs and everyday interactions, Arnau experienced firsthand the impact of connecting with people from different backgrounds. Inspired by this experience, he has since volunteered with AFS, where he coordinates interactions between Catalan families and students from around the world, facilitating meaningful exchanges and fostering connections between diverse individuals.

To continue expanding his network and fostering new connections, Arnau has been using Couchsurfing since 2015. Through this platform, he has traveled around the world and hosted travelers, enriching his experiences and building global friendships.
