About Me

Hello pals ! My name is Arnaud, I didn't travel for a while because of this sh*tty pandemic, but I'm back on track ! I'm 30 years old, have a girlfriend, I'm an ex chemist who came back to university in order to become archaeologist, but that's a long story... Anyway ! I love to travel, talk, meet people, live adventures, share knowledges, laugh around a pint of beer, and so on ! I did host some people in the past and really enjoyed it, I hope this time I'll be hosted by somebody somewhere, it would be amazing !

See you soon !

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on couchsurfing to share experiences and stories with people from all over the world. I sometimes host people with my family when they travel in south-west of France, and all of thoses meetings are incredibly enriching :D
My account is quite new but I used my brother's one for a long time to host guests. Despite thoses experiences, I never never been hosted while travelling abroad, so I'll give it a try this year :)

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite song might be "Tank!" from Yokko Kanno, but my taste are really wide: from System of down to pendulum, from Bob Dylan to George Brassens, plus some weird scandinavian experimental bands and world music ^^
My favorite movies are Gladiator and the Lord of the ring, but in fact I just love every good movies !
I truly love reading books ! Some of my farouvites are The journeyer from Gary Jennings, the Monkey wrench gang from Edward Abbey, Foundation from Isaac Asimov, 1984 from George Orwell, the Discworld chronicles from Terry Pratchett, but I also love western and eastern philosophy, history and science books :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The inital plan was to move out my brother from Ukraine by crossing all Europe, finally, I ran after a train with him in Odessa train station, carying four hamsters and a bloody piano... we actually made it, but this ridiculous scene is carved in my memory forever !

Teach, Learn, Share

I can talk about barely everything. I'm pretty skilled in chemistry and archaeology, can teach you french, and talk during hours about philosophy, history, science or basically anything you want ;)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I would like to share my good mood, my endless curiosity, and a bit of my culture or my experience if people are interested ;)

Countries I’ve Visited

Germany, Ireland, Italy, Malaysia, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Taiwan, Tunisia, Ukraine
