Hey! My name is Arnaud.

I am a French speaker who lives in Montreal and loves to discover new things and new cultures. I'm a very passionate young man and I'm looking forward to become a journalist. I love to discuss about social causes and hear other points of view.

IMPORTANT: i'm still living with my parents, so I won't be able to host for the moment.

I am very curious to learn about the way people live all around the world. I am also open minded and I'm excited to see different mind states and discuss with other people.

I like to get out of my confort zone and try things that will shake my ideas.

I like to live differently: I took a break in my studies to travel on my own. I don't know how much time my trip will last but I want to enjoy it as much as possible. (PS: I absolutely don't want to have a 9 to 5 job in the future)

I'm a big art lover. I like music, movies and any form of art. I can play guitar, ukulele and I'm learning harmonica. I'm not an amazing musician but I can play many songs.

I also like to practice and watch sports. I played 6 years in a hockey team and I play tennis occasionnaly. I am willing to try any sports. I'm a big Montreal Canadiens fan (Go Habs Go)

I'm an out door activity lover. I like to hike and see nature's beauty.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing to travel with a lower cost, to meet new people and to discover the world in a new way. It will be my first trip using CouchSurfing and I'm excited to see what it will bring me. I think it's a new fun way to travel and to see the world in a way that hotels can't do.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love folk, indie, rock and rap. The Lumineers, Half Moon Run, Seafret, Halsey, Ed Sheeran, Bob Dylan, Queen, Harry Styles, Charlotte Cardin, Coldplay, Kodaline, Mackelmore, Milky Chance and Vance Joy are some of my favorite bands and artists. I like movies that take me off of my comfort zone and that shake my ideas and opinions (Room and Captain Fantastic). I'm not a huge book reader but I like polars. Also big GOT and Walking Dead fan.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have made a student exchange in Prince Edward Island two years ago and it was amazing. It really gave me the will to travel more.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my culture, the way my society is built et he or she can do the same. I can also play a couple song for them and sing with my beautiful voice ( #not)
