Hi, I´m Arne. I am a student from Germany with a deep interest for society, how it works and how we can improve the systems we live in for currently living beings but also for future ones on this planet (and maybe someday other planets). Therefore I am basically interested in everything that is directly or indirectly connected to our social coexistence, e.g. economics, psychology, technology, policies (not to be confused with politics), but also in the most general topics like logic/math, philosophy, physics and more. Besides, I am always looking for opportunities to become more efficient (in regards to my goals) through simple good habits, psychological patterns, technology and more. I highly value empathy combined with straight-forwardness.

If I am not studying, reading, watching or thinking about some of the things above, I grab every chance to do sports (working towards a high level in calisthenics, swimming and more), listen or make music (playing drums and guitar, wanting to get into electronic music/DJing), go clubbing, prepare nice food and enjoy the beauty of this world and life in general. Sometimes with friends, sometimes alone :)
When traveling, I am most looking forward to meeting new people, learning with and about them, their lives and their countries, and ofc seeing the world.

If you host me, I am sure we find some interesting topics to talk about or activities to do together. If you don´t have much time to spend with me, that´s fine too! I´ll be super thankful for a place to sleep and a bathroom :D Everything else is a nice icing on the cake. Plus I assure you I am clean and organized :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think CouchSurfing has one of the greatest communities in the world. CS is a great concept and for me one of the best ways to really get to know the world and it's people and to learn with and through each other.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I listen to various genres. My youth was full of Rock like Billy Talent, Paramore, Sum41, ADTR etc., which I am still in love with. Then I got introduced to more and more House and later Techno (Hungry Music😍Melodic Techno in general)). And in between RnB, Hip Hop, Indie, Swing and more 😄
Books: Every book that is somehow about society, philosophy, psychology and about challenges we face as a species and as individuals, mostly non-fiction books. Honorable mentions: The Little Prince, Eragon, The Why Cafe
Movies: list of movies that inspired me would also be too long and when I get asked this question, I often can´t remember even one title or always name the same 3-4😂

Other than that, I can teach you german. I can play guitar for you or teach you playing guitar (given that you have a guitar at your place and are a beginner-advanced guitarist).
Or we can just enjoy some good time with music, going outside, talk about whatever is on your mind and my mind and, by all that, learn and grow with and through each other.
