Hey there,
My name is Arne, and I'm currently travelling from Germany to Spain, where I'm going to work in a diving centre on the Mediterranean coast. After two years of being out there and growing as a person, getting to know places, people and cultures, in October I'm entering university. So this is my last trip before I go back into some kind of daily life, and I'd like to spend some time on my trip with you :)

ABOUT ME

I like to explore, be in nature, be active and listen to and play music. I play basketball, soccer (basically anything with a ball, if I'm being completely honest :) ), and guitar. I love getting to know people from all around the world, get to know their culture and way of living. Last year I lived and worked in Costa Rica for 11 months, after which I travelled through Central America. I think these experiences have really triggered something in me, because I had the chance to create long-lasting global relationships, be part of another culture, and develop a feeling of being a global citizen. After coming back I've been wanting to get back on the road again for a long time, and now I'm finally able to do that again.

MY MISSION is to smile as much as I can, enjoy life, and be happy (which also means making other people happy!).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing, because I want to get to know new people from different places in the world. I think the best way to get to know a culture is to live as a part of it, and Couchsurfing serves as my miniature version of exactly that. :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Worked and lived (in host families) in Costa Rica for a year.

Walked through the Colombian jungle.

Ascended the Chirripó, Costa Rica's tallest mountain. Up and down in less than two days, it was hard, but totally worth it! From up there on good days (we were lucky) you can see both the Pacific and the Caribbean Sea!
