Overview
About Me
Retired man who bought his first house in 2013. It's in the Green Lake neighborhood with lots of restaurants and other businesses, all within walking distances. It's two blocks from the E-bus (express) stop that can whisk you downtown. My home is way too big for a single person so I have lots of room to host guests.
I am, however, very busy with projects and would not be able to spend much time with my guests.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
What better way to meet neat new people and help those who don't want to spend a night at a hotel.
Interests
I've taken numerous MOOCs (massive open online course) mostly math and science: Statistics, biostatistics and epidemiology, linear algebra, astronomy, gravity, astrobiology.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In the summer of 1987 I rode my mountain bike from Missoula, Montana to Anchorage, Alaska. About 3000 miles -- one-third of which were on gravel roads. We were self-contained (no sag wagon) and bought food and fuel along the way. Camped nearly every night. It took about 64 days of cycling and we did have about 7 rest days. Whew! We did not ride our bikes back home :)
