About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To know people, the world, and to interconnect.
ABOUT ME
50 year old mother of 2 young adults- a UU Director of Religious Education. I love to travel, but do not have a load of money ....as I work in the non-profit sector, have 2 kids in college, and a home on the outskirts of Worcester.
I live simply, enjoy nature, gardening, quilting, studying and reading, travel, exploring various religious/ and spiritual practices. I work with a lot of chldren and adults...and especially closely with teens in a Unitarian Universalist church doing mission work / spiritual education, finding meaning and answering the big questions, growing connections with people and the earth.
PHILOSOPHY
I believe in the inherent worth and dignity of every person. I feel like our purpose is to help each other through life because we are all connected in the interdependent web. I believe we should all strive to live with peace and love in our hearts.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
My daughter and I just couch-surfed across the country ...as we drove her and her car to college in California. We had an awesome experience and are looking to repay the kindness that so many have shown us!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have stay with three hosts across the country. I really loved the experience. You have to be open to learning about another...and sharing what knowledge and experience you have when appropriate.

Music, Movies, and Books
love to read and listen to music...I have a wide variety of music taste. Books..I like a great, rambling story...one of my favorite authors is John Irving.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I work a lot with homeless families. The most amazing thing I've seen recently when working at a shelter in Maine, is when 20 Haitian migrant workers (and their small children/infants) where stranded with no housing in rural Maine after their blueberry picking job was done. The "coyotes" that brought them there from florida to work...just left them homeless. The shelter where I was volunteering opened their doors to all of these lovely people and myself and my teenagers got to spend a few days helping and getting to know them. It was truly a gift.
Teach, Learn, Share
I also have a small business as a professional organizer...I help people with transitions...moving, remodeling, death in the family, downsizing, getting rid of baggage.
I can teach you how to quilt!
