I am Aron (27) from Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

Last year, I lived for a full year in Taiwan to study Chinese.
This year, I have been accepted at multiple universities in the USA for a PhD program in History.

Because of this, I am now traveling through the USA for the first time to get to know all the cities/people and universities...

...before deciding to live and work in one of these cities for the next 6 years!

I am very new on Couchsurfing, but it seemed the best way to really get to know as much as possible about the cities/people/universities, before choosing to live in one of these places for the next 6 years as a graduate student(!)

Using this website/app seems a great way to avoid the tourist bubble!

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

In the Netherlands, I already published a bestselling book on Dutch history (if you want to make sure, google my name: Aron Brouwer) and I have been on national TV multiple times. Besides this, I am crazy about tea and even have a tea instagram: meneer.thee! :)

Also, I am already taught history at senior high school level for 5 years now!
