About Me

Academic vagabond, biology enthusiast, newly minted doctor. . . roamed around the Caribbean Nature Isle of Dominica from Jan 2009 - May 2012. I grew up in a small rural town in NJ (if you can believe it) which fostered an immense appreciation for the outdoors. I enjoy hiking, scuba, snowboarding, yoga, kayaking, biking, climbing, etc. etc. I love to challenge myself physically & mentally. I travel as much as can when I have time. By becoming a doctor, I hope to use my healing abilities at home and all over the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Hosted a couple of times so far, looking forward to surfing more at some point

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've enjoyed showing a surfer the unique features that Dominica has to offer. I just wished I could've taken him around more, but working at the hospital took priority.

Music, Movies, and Books

There's not much music I don't like, but some standards on my playlists include: Jimmy Buffet (my parents raised me a parrothead), DMB, Paul Simon, State Radio, Dispatch, CCR . . . classic rock, jam bands, classical, 80's pop, 90's alternative, almost anything

Jack Kerouac, Martin Prechtel, GoT, fantasy, etc...more recently New England Journal of Medicine, UpToDate.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've been to (and lived near) both the largest boiling lakes in the world, the largest in Rotorua, New Zealand, and the 2nd largest in the Morne Trois Pitons National Park in Dominica.

Teach, Learn, Share

Honestly, we don't have the luxury of hanging out very often, or showing people around Norfolk because we work so much. If you surf with us, all you can definitely count on is a place to stay. If the timing is right, we might be free to have some fun.

Countries I’ve Visited

Antigua and Barbuda, Bahamas, Cayman Islands, France, Germany, Honduras, Ireland, Mexico, Netherlands, Spain, Turks and Caicos Islands, Virgin Islands, U.S.

Countries I’ve Lived In

Dominica, New Zealand, United States
