Overview
About Me
I'm a science teacher sometimes and an adventurer always. A few of my favorite activities include backpacking, road biking, rock climbing, photography, meeting new people, seeing new things/places, etc. I am a San Diego native with an extensive knowledge of the city, county and Southern California (23 years of living here helps!) However, I and my fiancé are moving to Grand Rapids, Michigan to get married and switch things up with some snow this July!
She, Anna, is super cool loves to all the same things as me, grew up in Honduras and is way cooler than I am.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've surfed and love hosting!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
In May of 2012 I rode my bike from Santa Cruz, CA to San Diego, CA. Along the way I made my first adventure through CouchSurfing, camping and friends. It was a great time and got to meet some awesome people from different places! And then I did it again from San Luis Obispo to SD with Anna.
I've also surfed a few other times on random road trips or other smaller adventures
I hosted a couple surfers and love having people over! You are welcome here!
Interests
I LOVE MOVEMENT! It's my deal. I love riding my bike whether it's down the street, down the coast of California or on a mountain!
I enjoy most things though, a few of these include backpacking, road biking, climbing, photography, meeting new people, seeing new things/places, the stars, Food especially new food, exercise, fresh air, different ecosystems, different languages (sadly I fit the bill of standard US citizen who only knows english and a bit of spanish). I love learning and don't think that I will ever be able to stop. I love learning facts but love practical hands on skills way more!
The majesty, stillness, and sheer beauty of Yosemite will always mystify me.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hiked half dome, been peed on by a Sumatran tiger, had a mohawk, swam with a bunch of sharks on accident/purpose, found 5 hats in a parking lot, road my bike down 60% the coast of California, ate 76 pieces of sushi in one sitting.
Depends on what you think is amazing I guess
