ABOUT ME

... Hi, lovely people I am Ephrem. I'm Italian and have been based in London for well over 20 years now.
For the past twenty years I have been working as a gardener during the european growing season, while spending our winter times traveling the World, often to the most remote corners.
I take my traveling very seriously and although I always spend a few months a year working in London, I kinda see myself as a full time traveler, whatever that means.
I have learnt many languages, some well some badly... but most of all, I am learning how to see us as One, beyond borders, ethnicity and religions.
Best of all, I have learnt that nothing matters but Learning...
I am not a wild Party enthusiast... I enjoy far more a home-made dinner and a drink... all shared among few interesting people deep in conversation.

PHILOSOPHY

-People are essentially good hearted. Most misunderstandings come from ignorance or personal unresolved experiences.
-Discover Life as if you had just been flown to Earth from a far away Galaxy.
-Appreciate what you've been tought by family, friends and Society, yet be able to go beyond it...

I enjoy meeting CSurfers from all over the World... so much to learn, so much to share!I want to try and see the World from your eyes and can't wait to be surprised by you all! :-)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far the CSurfing experience met and exceeded all my expectation.
As far as using it as a guest, I have used it only where I thought it would have been expecially difficult to meet people, in so called developed Countries, such as Japan or Israel, while studying the palestinian struggle. I only choose hosts who seems I'd love to spend time with and never thought of it as a way to save money. Cooking a fresh meal and buying a bottle of wine always costs anyway more than a dorm spot in a hostel.
I wish I had a place where It were possible to host CSurfers. Believe it or not, I couchsurf at my own place, while renting out my bedroom, in order to sustain my travels... I've done this for twenty years. It's been a sacrifice but I have always chosen interesting people from all over the world as lodgers. That has for sure made me a better traveler.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm lucky enough to have plenty but if pushed to name one, I'd say... sailing on a raft for weeks through the Amazon region of Madre de Dios with an Harackhmbut tribeman...

I am interested in learning pretty much anything, as long as it is tought with proficency and Love.
... and I guess I could show you a trick or two when it comes to cooking Italian food or traveling without a Lonley Planet... you can practice with me a number of languages too.
