Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Mobile mutual aid! I'd love to surf and I will also share with you my food, clothes, and shelter as I travel around the U.S.
Maybe we have the combined creative power to make something much better than we could alone. Maybe between us we have a recording studio and two tons of instruments, maybe we have a lot of fabric and our favorite clothes to make, maybe we have the seeds to sew great guerrilla gardens, maybe we can get lost together, maybe not. Maybe you're busy -- but if that's the case and yet I've got you reading this far, chances are good we'll have fun!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I love to keep an open door and since my lil kid days I've made friends through hosting and surfing.
Once upon a downpour I hosted a Jamaican anarchist with my little sister. We met randomly in the rain, but we all felt like old friends and an hour later we were snug in sacks on the floor of my studio. We spent the next day cooking together, climbing buildings, catching a couple rad events, and making music. We only had a few days to play around in the Pacific Northwest but we've been able to hang out a lot more on our travels since.
It always seems to go like that. Once we've become friends we'll probably keep things going all around the world.

Black Moth Super Rainbow, Manu Chao, Le Tigre, Beck, The Pixies. Broken Water, Grass Widow, Grouper, Margy Pepper, lotsa riot grrrl. An old friend with the moniker Blind Moon, a new friend with the anonymous project Slow Magic, and pretty much everything by my friends with the Patient Sounds label.
community radio: CHiRP, Hollow Earth, KVRX, and 3FACH.
What It Is by Lynda Barry, short works by Herman Melville, Logodaedaly by Erzsébet Gilbert, White Noise by Don DeLillo, Permaculture Design Course pamphlets by Bill Mollison, I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings by Maya Angelou, A Supposedly Fun Thing I'll Never Do Again by David Foster Wallace, Cat's Cradle and Slaughterhouse 5 by Kurt Vonnegut, and the Believer Mag.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Almost trampled by a wild horse. Survived killer parasites. Came to terms with death in a crashing plane. Saved a kid's life. Met ∞.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'd like to learn your favorite places to be, what you would do forever if you could, what you eat and how you cook.
I bring to share: cameras and polaroids, instruments and cassette tapes, sound recorders, a hand in the kitchen, and a key to the U.S. -- a pass to all national public lands.
Some adventures I see ahead for us to share include: food! trees to climb, rooftops to prowl, strange places to peruse, parties, picnics and potlucks, beaches to bonfire on, bodies of water to dip in, shows, and an epochal feat of documentation.
