ABOUT ME

I am a resident physician in radiation oncology currently completing a year of medicine training in Pittsburgh. I enjoy outdoor activities including backpacking, camping, canoeing, and biking. I'm curious about all cultures and have traveled to 18 countries around the world and have lived in 3 of them (USA, Spain, Bolivia). Excited to continue traveling and immersing myself in different cultures and ways of life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I was introduced to the couchsurfing community by a close friend, and I'm intrigued and humbled by the people I've met. In spring 2013, I had the opportunity to travel the world through a study abroad program called Semester at Sea, where I couchsurfed as much I could and met many fascinating friends. Having loved surfing with great hosts, I am beginning to host travelers and repay the hospitality forward.

Backpacked for 12 days lugging a 40-lb pack in the rough New Mexican wilderness and climbed Mount Baldy (12,441' (3,792 m))

Crossed the International Dateline and skipped a day in February

Stood on a ship at the point 0.00N 0.00E (Intersection of the Prime Meridian and Equator)

Spent a night couchsurfing in the Moroccan desert with friends, sandboarding and enjoying a sunrise camel trek

Kissed a stingray in the warm water of the Turks and Caicos Islands

Hiked for 3 days in Toro Toro National Dinosaur Park in Bolivia

Trekked around a couple volcanoes in La Fortuna, Costa Rica

Eaten a warm gooey Subway cookie
