About Me

As a true Aquarian, I am interested in many things and enjoy in-depth conversation about a variety of subjects. Nothing thrills me more than hearing interesting takes and perspectives on the big questions in life. If I'm not questioning a cultural or political state of being, I, myself cannot sit physically still and one may find me walking around my city popping into local art galleries, catching the latest theatre productions, or hitting the local trails.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have done a number of international trips - solo and with friends - and have yet to use the official couchsurfing network! I absolutely love finding the weird, intricate, underground pulse of a place and meeting locals is my favorite way to do this. In return, sharing my love for my current city, Baltimore, Maryland, should be my official side hustle because I want everyone to know and feel how great it is, just like I do!

Music, Movies, and Books

Favorite Music: let's talk Spotify playlists - I will curate one for you based on a certain emotion. Right now, Moses Sumney is an experimental jazz musician I am into at the moment.

Favorite Movies: Honestly, I don't watch many movies, but when I do it is a psychological thriller that make you question! M. Night Shayamalan and Wes Anderson are my favorite directors.

Favorite Books: How to Fill Your Bucket, The Power of Habit, any of Malcolm Gladwell's books, and recently 12 Rules for Life: An Anecdote to Order & Chaos by Jordan B. Peterson

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I stage managed a show entitled "A Fool's Paradise: 30 Shakespeare Scenes in 60 Minutes" at the Edinburgh International Fringe Festival. It was an amazing experience to be a part of because I worked with the best cast and director, and the interesting concept that was ever-changing each performance, oh and the pie in the face...ask me about this one.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have recently enjoyed trying to cook more intensive dishes besides the usual omelette (that I know I have perfected after 27 years...), but I am looking to learn how to make more cultural dishes to add to my repertoire. If you have an affinity for underground arts and music scenes, I would love to be shown what is made up of this culture! And if you like to walk 5,000 miles let us absolutely go for a walk around your neighborhood.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A small collection of haikus I've written...
Stimulating questions and serendipitous stories...
The best omelette you have ever experienced...
A spontaneous and optimistic demeanor...
Friendship and a curiosity about your personal journey...

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Canada, Denmark, England, France, Germany, Ireland, Mexico, Netherlands, Northern Ireland, Norway, Scotland, Spain, Sweden, Wales
